There's no truth to rumors and speculation that Chivas USA is using a friendly next month against parent
club Guadalajara to test the market for a possible move, according to a spokesman.
The clubs announced Thursday they will play at Petco Field, home of the San Diego Padres, Sept. 14
in the second edition of a rivalry born last year. Guadalajara beat Chivas USA, 2-0 at the Rose Bowl in
front of a crowd announced as 22,879.
The game will be co-promoted by Soccer United Marketing (SUM), a marketing agency run by MLS, and
the Padres.
