Freddie Ljungberg has three assists in four games since joining the Chicago Fire from the Seattle Sounders in late July. On Saturday, the Swedish playmaker for the first time faces the team that brought him to MLS last season.
"When I told fans that I was leaving, the people in Seattle were amazing," Ljungberg said. "But then when you get into the stadium, who knows what some fans will say? ...
"There are no hard feelings. I speak to the owners all the time. It's about winning, and it's about playing the best football. We play good football in Chicago."
Sounders co-owner Drew Carey said, "It's going to be a great game anyway, considering the playoff implications. Then you add Ljungberg making his first appearance at Qwest Field after going to Chicago -- I wouldn't miss this one."
