[NORTH CAROLINA MEN] No. 2 North Carolina warmed up for Friday's showdown with No. 1 Akron at the Carolina Nike Classic with a 3-1 win over the Carolina RailHawks of the D2 Pro League.

Alex Dixon put UNC ahead in the first half and freshmen Josh Rice and Carlos McCrary broke the game open after the RailHawks equalized in the 46th minute when Andriy Budnyy scored from the penalty spot.

UNC dominated the first half with a 13-4 edge in shots as the Tar Heel midfield maintained possession.
