[D-2 PRO LEAGUE] The Montreal Impact, winner of the 2009 USL-1 title, took a 2-0 lead on a pair of goals by Toronto FC castoff Ali Gerba in its D-2 Pro League quarterfinal series with the Austin Aztex. In Wednesday's other game, Minnesota and Carolina played to a 0-0 tie.

Gerba, released by Toronto on the verge of the 2010 MLS season, scored in the 39th and 76th minutes on crosses from Philippe Billy and Rocco Placentino.
