[D-2 PRO LEAGUE] The Rochester Rhinos and Austin Aztex, who finished 1-2 in the overall standings during the regular season, were knocked out of the D-2 Pro League playoffs in the quarterfinals.

The Puerto Rico Islanders, who had beaten the Rhinos, 2-0, in the first leg got an early goal from Alexis Rivera to go ahead on aggregate, 3-0, and that proved to be the difference as the Rhinos could only pull two goals back and lost the series, 3-2.

In Austin, Ali Gerba scored twice to give him four goals in two games and lead the Montreal Impact to a 3-2 win over the Aztex and advance to the semifinals, 5-2, on aggregate.

The Carolina RailHawks broke a scoreless deadlock in their series with the NSC Minnesota Stars by scoring four second-half goals and winning, 4-0.
