[IVY MEN] No. 25 Princeton won its first Ivy League title since 2001 and extended its win streak to a school record 11 games when it beat No. 22 Penn, 2-1, in a battle of teams unbeaten and untied in league play.
The Tigers' 12 wins are the most since 1995 when U.S. national team coach Bob Bradley was head coach of the Tigers and guided the team to a 13-5-0 mark.
Senior defender Benjamin Burton put Princeton ahead with a header in the 32nd minute, and junior Antoine Hoppenot added to Princeton's lead in the 71st minute
With less than five minutes to play, Penn finally scored when Christian Barriero set up Thomas Brandt.
Princeton can win the Ivy League title outright with a win or tie at Yale on Saturday.
