[AWARDS] FC Dallas head coach Schellas Hyndman was voted the 2010 MLS Coach of the Year after leading his club to a 19-game unbeaten streak and its first playoff appearance since 2007.

FC Dallas finished with a record of 12-4-14, tying the San Jose Earthquakes (2005) and Real Salt Lake (2010) for the fewest losses in an MLS season.

Hyndman left SMU in 2008 after 24 years at the helm of the Mustangs to take over FCD.

He is the sixth former college head coach to win the awards after Bruce Arena, Bob Bradley, Sigi Schmid, Bob Gansler and Greg Andrulis.
