[CROWD COUNT] No. 1 seed Louisville broke a school attendance record when it drew 5,197 fans Sunday for its NCAA Division I Men's Tournament second-round game against College of Charleston. The total doesn't include hundreds of fans standing on the berm overlooking the Cardinal Park field.
The Cardinals, 3-1 winners, broke the old record of 3,853 set on Oct. 5, 2005, against Indiana.
The game set a new record for an attendance to a college soccer game in the state of Kentucky with 5,197.
The Cardinals (17-0-3) will be back in action against Ohio State on Sunday at 7:00 p.m.
