Maria Lorgia Alonso, the wife of former Paraguay striker Salvador Cabanas, who was shot in the head at point-blank range 10 months ago in a bar in Mexico City, says he's owed $1.3 million in back wages and other benefits from Mexico's Club America.
The Club America star would have been a leader on Paraguay's national team at the World Cup. He miraculously survived the attack but is not expected to play again.
Club America has said it does not owe Cabanas.
