Four Gold Cup berths up for grabs

[DIGICEL CARIBBEAN CUP] The final round of the Digicel Caribbean Cup final round will begin Friday when Trinidad & Tobago faces Cuba and host Martinique takes on Grenada. The four teams that advance to the semifinals of the tournament will qualify to next summer’s Gold Cup.

Trinidad & Tobago, Cuba, Grenada and Martinique are in Group H while Guyana, Antigua & Barbuda, Guadeloupe and defending champion Jamaica are in Group G.

Jamaica hopes to have Omar Cummings of MLS champion Colorado, but he picked up a hamstring injury in the MLS Cup final against FC Dallas.

Long-time Reggae Boy Shavar Thomas is one of three Sporting Kansas City players headed to Martinique. Midfielders Craig Rocastle and Stephane Auvray will play for Grenada and Guadeloupe, respectively.

Trinidad & Tobago has called up Yohance Marshall of the Los Angeles Galaxy. Marshall's Galaxy teammate Chris Birchall is with Los Angeles for its trip to Australia, while San Jose Earthquakes striker Cornell Glen who is injured.

The final and third-place game will take place on Dec. 5 at Pierre Aliker Stadium.
