[OFF THE POST] A fan of Argentine club Deportivo Merlo died after falling more than 30 feet from the tree he was sitting in to watch the team’s game against Instituto de Cordoba.

According to Ole, it’s a common practice for Deportivo Merlo fans to forgo buying tickets and watch games from tree tops or building roofs that are high enough for a view onto the field of the 7,500-capacity stadium.

But 45-year-old Jorge Britos -- nicknamed “El Sapo” (The Frog) – lost his balance and died on impact.
