[DATEBOOK] The USA will return to Africa on Feb. 9 when it faces reigning Africa Cup of Nations champion Egypt at the Cairo International in a rematch of their 2009 Confederations Cup match.

Feb. 9 is an international fixture date on the FIFA calendar.

The USA defeated the Pharaohs, 3-0, on goals by Charlie Davies, Michael Bradley and Clint Dempsey to reach the semifinals of a senior FIFA competition for the first time since 1930.

The USA and Egypt first faced each other on June 8, 1987, at an international tournament in South Korea, where the Americans also prevailed, 3-1.

The match is the second scheduled for 2011. The USA will face Chile on Jan. 22 at the Home Depot Center.
