[AMERICANS ABROAD] Carlos Bocanegra's St. Etienne held leader Lille to a 1-1 tie on the last day of play before the short winter break in France's Ligue 1.

The Verts finish the fall campaign in a tie for 5th place with defending champion Marseille, just three points behind Lille. Only five points separate the top 10 teams.
