[AMERICANS ABROAD] Oguchi Onyewu's injury in FC Twente's shootout victory over PSV in the Dutch Cup quarterfinals was only minor. The American defender, who arrived at the Dutch champion earlier in the month on loan from AC Milan, left after just 25 minutes.

The injury near his ribs will require minor rehabilitation, according to a Twitter report.

It was just Onyewu's third game with Twente.

FC Twente went on to win, 6-5, on penalty kicks after their game ended in a 1-1 tie.

It will meet FC Utrecht in the semifinals of the KNVB-beker in early March.
