Dempsey's Fulham thriving at home

[AMERICANS ABROAD]  Clint Dempsey started for Fulham in its 1-0 win over Newcastle that moved the Cottagers into 12th place, five points out of the drop zone.

The win was Fulham's third straight at Craven Cottage after beginning with just two wins in its first 10 home games.

Stuart Holden went the distance in Bolton Wanderers' 1-0 victory over Wolves that moved it into eighth place.

Jermaine Jones picked up a yellow card in Blackburn's 1-0 loss at home to Tottenham.
