[AMERICANS ABROAD] Bobby Wood, the 18-year-old striker out of California, played his second game for 1860 Munich in its 1-1 tie with Fortuna Duesseldorf in the German Second Division on Monday.

Wood left California when he was 13 and gradually moved up the ranks at 1860 Munich, once the dominant club in Munich.

He was promoted from its under-23 team to the first team in January.

He is expected to be a key player for the USA in its quest to qualify for the 2011 Under-20 World Cup in Colombia.
