[MLS] FC Dallas dealt U.S. national team defender Heath Pearce to Chivas USA in exchange for allocation money.

Pearce, 26, had played professionally in Denmark (FC Nordsjaelland) and Germany (Hansa Rostock) before joining Dallas in 2009.

He had an excellent season for FCD in 2010, playing 28 games and notching six assists.

But he was injured on the eve of the playoffs and missed the postseason run to MLS Cup 2010.

Dallas is loaded at the outside back positions with Jackson and Zach Loyd on the right side and Jair Benitez on the left.
