[AMERICANS ABROAD] U.S. national team midfielder Alejandro Bedoya confirmed he will have a trial at English Premier League club Birmingham this week.

Bedoya followed former Boston College teammate Charlie Davies to Sweden and like Davies hopes to parlay his success into a move to a bigger club.

Bedoya, 23, has spent the last two years with Orebro. He has one year left on his current contract and says the Birmingham trial “gives me a chance to see where I stand compared with some of the best players in the best league in the world.”

Davies moved from Hammarby to French club Sochaux in 2009.

Good luck and all the best to Alejandro Bedoya!!! Tho' I wouldn't go so far as to say that the EPL is "... the best league in the world..." maybe one of the best but certainly NOT the best... Buena suerte!
