David Beckham is headed back to the Galaxy after he bid farewell to Tottenham Hotspur Monday with a pie and mash dinner. He's been training with the club the past six weeks.

The midfielder left Spurs following a training session after ordering in pie and mash, a traditional working-class London meal. Redknapp teased reporters at the club's training ground when he said: "You don't know what it is.

"It's only us Cockneys that know -- I had three actually; I nicked an extra pie. I was brought up on it in the East End, it was fantastic."

Beckham tried to arrange a loan to play for Spurs but the club and the Galaxy couldn't come to terms regarding salary and the payment of a insurance premium to cover Beckham while playing in England. He is in last year of a five-year MLS contract.
