Defender fouls an owl

During a Colombian league game, Deportivo Pereira's Panamaian defender Luis Moreno kicked an owl that had landed injured on the field during a game against Atletico Junior.

Atletico Junior fans chanted “murder, murder” after Moreno kicked the owl which they consider a good-luck charm.

The owl, which was booted about three yards, is expected to recover from a minor fracture to its right leg while Moreno faces sanctions from the league.
