Arsenal's Van Persie to miss Barca clash; hope for Fabregas

Arsenal announced that its Dutch striker Robin van Persie will miss its Champions League round-of-16, second leg game against Barcelona next week with a knee injury but Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas could return.

The Dutchman was injured as he scored the equalizer in Sunday’s 2-1 League Cup final loss to Birmingham City. He was hurt in
in the 39th minute but played playing until the 69th.

Fabregas came off against Stoke City last week with a hamstring injury that kept him out of the League Cup final.
