[U.S. CLUB SOCCER] The id2 National Selection all-stars beat academy teams from Celtic (3-1) and Manchester City (4-1) on their tour of Scotland and England that came to a close Sunday. The all-stars, born in 1997 and 1998, also dropped a 2-1 decision to Everton's academy team.

The 18 players also attended the Celtic-Rangers Old Firm match and the Wigan-Manchester United EPL game.

“The trip was a huge success as we were able to compete against a lot of very good players from some of the top clubs in Scotland and England,” said id2 Boys Program Director Gerry McKeown. “We were able to visit a lot of very traditional stadiums and venues and see a lot of things that are the very heart of soccer and that the players watch every week in the English Premier League.”
