Bolton coach Owen Coyle is confident that American midfielder Stuart Holden will comeback strong from his second major injury since joining the EPL club in 2009 from the Houston Dynamo.
“He has such desire, strength of character and a winning mentality, and he will draw on all those attributes in his rehabilitation,” said Coyle.
The 25-year-old Holden underwent surgery Monday to repair knee damage suffered when Manchester United's Jonny Evans plowed into him with a bad tackle.
Holden, who required 26 stitches, had his leg broken by the Netherlands’ Nigel de Jong during an exhibition game March 3 of 2010. He returned May 9 in Bolton's final game of the season and played for the U.S. at the World Cup.
