[USA-ARGENTINA] There were a number of candidates -- veterans and youngsters -- for the best U.S. player in the USA's 1-1 tie with Argentina. Who's your pick?

Tim Howard was playing on an unbelievable superior level! Had the defense been as quick to anticipate and react as Howard there would have been zero goals against the USA. The subs were the correct decision and should be starters in the next game along with the 4-4-2 field presentation.

I would not start Gooch. Tim Rheam should start next to DeMerit. Chandler should start over Spector. I would prefer the US played a 3-5-2 and keep our defenders home, gain width in our midfield and keep other teams honest with two forwards. This would also play to the overwhelming strengths of our team (quality in midfield).

While Howard was terrific, and Agudelo looked like the future of US soccer, I believe Chandler on the right side made the difference. Chandler brings something to the US defense that we haven't had back there. Physicality, Speed, and great crossing. Chandler torched the right side of the field, was physical, and made brilliant crosses. He made ARG play honest instead of camping in the US half. His yellow card was uncalled for from an inconsistant ref. In the first half, ARG picked on the left side of the defense where spector was, second half they moved to the other side. Chandler shored up right full back position. He showed quickness and moxie.
