Chad Ochocinco looks set to return to catching oval balls in NFL when his five-day tryout with Sporting Kansas City, which included an appearance in a reserve game, comes to an end on Tuesday.

“I’m glad he got the opportunity to play in a scrimmage game; I think he sees where he’s disconnected," said KC coach Peter Vermes. "The thing is that he has absolutely no soccer fitness at all. That’s what absolutely crushes him.”

Said Ochocinco, “I’ve been away from the game since I was a little kid. I’m just having fun. The skill set is not there like it should be. All I can do out here on the pitch is probably just run fast. Other than that, I just enjoyed it.”
