The Vancouver Whitecaps became the latest MLS club to lose one of their top attacking players when striker Atiba Harris had surgery on his injured right knee.
The 26-year-old Saint Kitts & Nevis international will be out indefinitely. He had contributed two goals and three assists in five games but had taken a pounding from defenders.
Harris had been picked up from 2010 runner-up FC Dallas in the Expansion Draft. In his place, understudies Omar Salgado and Long Tan will get increased playing time.
