UEFA Champions League audience jumps 93 percent

[TELEVISION WATCH] The midday airing of the first legs of the UEFA Champions League semifinal series between Real Madrid and Barcelona and Manchester United and Schalke 04 drew a combined audience of more than 1.5 million viewers on the Fox networks -- an increase of 93 percent over last year's viewership for the semifinal first legs.

The Schalke 04-Man. United game was aired on Fox Soccer and Fox Deportes, while Real Madrid-Barcelona was televised live FX and Fox Deportes.

The second legs will be held this week:
 
Barcelona hosts Real Madrid on Tuesday on Fox Soccer. Manchester United plays Schalke 04 on Wednesday on FX.

Both games air at 2:30 p.m. ET.
