The Spanish league title may be (all but) lost, Cristiano Ronaldo has his sights on a Spanish record.
The Portuguese scored his seventh hat trick of the season and upped his goal total to 36 as Real Madrid defeated city rival Getafe, 4-0, at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday.
Ronaldo's 36 goals put him five goals ahead of Barcelona's Lionel Messi and within two goals of the all-time Pichichi record, which is held by Real Madrid's Mexican forward Hugo Sanchez (1990) and Athletic Bilbao legend Telmo Zarra (1951).
