Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando's wife was sitting behind Javier Morales' wife at Rio Tinto Stadium when the playmaker was severely injured by Chivas USA's Marcos Mondaini.
Rimando said Morales' wife just broke down in tears, while his 4-year-old boy was obviously scared.
"On the family side of that, it's terrible when you see somebody's wife cry or kid cry; that's the last thing you want to see," said Rimando.
Said defender Nat Borchers, "I think we were all emotional. On this team we're all family, and when one of our guys goes down like that with a potential career-ending injury, your heart goes out to him and he's going to be on your mind and you think about him and his family."
