The second of the Cascadia Cup rivals meet for the first time Saturday night when the Seattle Sounders host the Vancouver Whitecaps at Qwest Field. Don't expect the rivalry to be as intense as the Seattle-Portland rivalry.

"There's some real contempt, disdain, orneriness between Seattle and Portland and I don't think fans in either city look at Vancouver the same way," KPLU sports commentator Art Thiel says. "They look at Vancouver as the nice cousin up North."

Portland showed its was up to Seattle's level. For Vancouver, Saturday's game is therefore key. The Whitecaps have not won an MLS game since their opening game of the season.
