[VIDEO] The USA started strong at the U-17 World Cup with a 3-0 win over the Czech Republic but slumped to a lackluster performance in a 2-1 loss to Uzbekistan. The Americans' fate will be decided on Saturday.

The USA faces New Zealand on Saturday at 7 pm ET (ESPNU, ESPN3.com, Galavision). All four teams in the Group D are tied on three points going into the final day of group play.

USA 3, Czech Republic 0. Goals: Guido 5, E.Rodriguez 52, Koroma 89.


USA 1 Uzbekistan 2. Goals: Koroma 47; Davlatov 13, Makhstliev pen. 54.
