Red Bulls and FC Dallas headed to U-17/18 Finals Week

[DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY] Two MLS teams -- the New York Red Bulls and FC Dallas -- are among eight teams that have qualified for the 2011 U.S. Soccer Development Academy Finals Week in the under-17/18 age group.

Baltimore Bays Chelsea, CASL Chelsea, Dallas Texans, Pateadores, PDA and Weston FC also qualified by winning their respective group at the 2010-11 Development Academy Playoffs on Frisco, Texas.

CASL qualified for the Under-17/18 Finals Week for the fourth consecutive year.

Finals Week runs July 9-16 at three venues in Milwaukee, where the teams will be split into two groups:

-- Group 1: Pateadores, New York Red Bulls, Players Development Academy and Dallas Texans; and

-- Group 2: FC Dallas, Baltimore Bays Chelsea, CASL Chelsea FC Academy and Weston FC.

The group winners face off in the championship July 15, live on ESPNU at 1 p.m. ET.
