Playmaking midfielders, regardless of age, always draw close attention at world championship events, and U.S. U-17 captain Marc Pelosi said he will be weighing European options as well as college and MLS prospects in the next few weeks.
Liverpool has been in touch, according to Pelosi and other sources, and the California native who was in the Bradenton residency camp prior to the U-17 World Cup is going to have at least a few opportunities.
“College could still be a good option," said Pelosi. "It depends on the offers that are coming in. Going pro is my first priority. We heard there was some strong interest from Liverpool, and Germany a few places, so I’m just deciding where to go."
