Brazilian star Roberto Carlos has two years left on his contract with Russian Premiership club Anzhi Makhachkala, and he already knows what he wants to do afterwards.
"After that," he says, "I will resign and take the post of the club president. I'm going to stay in Russia for a long time. And I'm set to transform Anzhi into a truly strong team, where plenty of my countrymen will play."
The 38-year-old defender says he has already reached an agreement with billionaire Suleiman Kerimov, the Anzhi owner, about taking the top job.
In his first season, Roberto Carlos has helped small Dagestan team climb to fourth in the Russian league.
