Former Chivas USA head coach Martin Vasquez will serve as head coach and director of soccer operations for Real Salt Lake's Development Academy program, RSL AZ, based at the Grande Sports Academy in Casa Grande, Arizona. He will also serve as the director of soccer for Grande Sports World and Grande Sports Academy.

"It is a great honor and a dream come true to be able to make a positive impact on the young men at the Real Salt Lake-Arizona Academy, who we hope to develop into great players," said the 47-year-old Vasquez.

Vasquez is one of the few players to have represented both the USA and Mexico internationally. He also served as an assistant coach at Chivas USA and under Juergen Klinsmann at Bayern Munich.
