[U.S. U-18 MEN] Beating Israel 2-0 and tying Mexico 1-1 were only good enough to rank the USA third among six teams in the first stage of the Northern Ireland Milk Cup, meaning it won't defend its title won in 2010.

The USA will play Georgia for third-place on Friday, while Denmark and Northern Ireland, whose 3-1 wins on Wednesday gave them the edge over the USA on goals scored, will meet in the final.

Jalen Robinson scored for the USA to even the score at the end of the first half after Mexico had gone ahead in the 12th minute.

USA -- Cropper, McCrary, Zimmerman, Gallego, Ocegueda, Robinson, Gil, Packwood, Kiesewetter (Villareal 68), Salgado, Pineda (Salandy-Defour 54).
