[AROUND THE COUNTRY] U.S. U-20 national team defender Sebastien Ibeagha scored the lone goal to lead No. 23 Duke to a 1-0 victory over Furman before a crowd of 2,747 at Stone Soccer Stadium.

Goalie James Belshaw held off the Palladins with eight saves.
-- Transfers Julian Cardona (Butler) and Hasani Sinclair (USF) each scored his first goal as Penn State beat American 2-0, to win the 2011 Penn State Classic.

-- Junior Kyle Bekker scored both goals to lead No. 18 Boston College to a 2-1 win over Fairfield, 2-1.

-- Senior Evan James scored twice as Charlotte rallied for a  2-1 road win at Coastal Carolina in its 2011 opener.
