[OLD DOMINION-MONMOUTH] No. 22 Old Dominion followed up on its 4-0 win over No. 19 East Tennessee State with a 3-1 win over No. 13 Monmouth Sunday to capture its 36th annual Stihl Soccer Classic.

ODU got a goal from Yannick Smith and an own goal to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.

Monmouth's Matt Beverin cut the lead to 2-1, but Tim Hopkinson restored the Monarch's two-goal lead after taking a pass from Chris Harmon.

ODU's Jordan LeBlanc was named the tournament MVP. French goalie Victor Francoz, Alex DeJohn and Hopkinson joined LeBlanc on the all-tournament team.

In the earlier match, ETSU got goals from Simon Schroettle and Frank Doumbe to defeat William & Mary, 2-0.
