[AROUND THE COUNTRY] Hartford remained unbeaten at 9-0-2 with a 1-0 victory at Binghamton on Thursday night. The lone goal of the game came in the 19th minute when junior Caitlin Alves scored her fifth goal of the season and what would prove to be her fourth game-winning goal.

Hawks keeper Erin Quinlan finished with eight saves, holding off a late flurry by the Bearcats.

-- Boston University, the defending America East champion, extended its winning streak to four games with a 5-0 victory over Vermont. Jessica Luscinski had two goals and an assist, while Emma Clark, Madison Clemens and Tiya Gallegos also scored for the Terriers (9-2-1).

– Midfielder Pirjo Leppikangas scored three goals over the final 30 minutes to give Campbell a 3-0 win over Gardner-Webb in its first game in the Big South. The Camels got help from goalie Ryann Torrero, who made a diving save on Dawn Rollyson's penalty kick in the 77th minute.
