[AMERICAN ABROAD] Clint Dempsey scored on Sunday as Fulham finally picked up its first win of the English Premier League season, a 6-0 demolition of London rival QPR. Edson Buddle scored two more goals for FC Ingolstadt -- his fourth and fifth goals of the season -- but Bochum came back to win their Germany second division game, 5-3. DaMarcus Beasley also scored in a losing effort with Puebla's only goal in its 2-1 loss to San Luis.

Beasley beat fellow U.S. international Michael Orozco Fiscal to the centering pass and completed the counterattack for Puebla's early lead. (Video)

Tim Howard's save on Dirk Kuyt's penalty kick couldn't prevent short-handed Everton from falling to Liverpool 2-0, in their Merseyside derby.

Jonathan Spector left Birmingham City's game against Nottingham Forest in the 13th minute with an ankle injury but was cleared to join the USA for its friendlies against Honduras and Ecuador.

Alejandro Bedoya made his first start, playing alongside Maurice Edu and Carlos Bocanegra for first-place Scottish Premier League club Rangers in its 1-0 win over Hibernian.

Jozy Altidore didn't score, but AZ picked up its ninth win in 10 games in the Dutch Eredivisie with a 3-1 win at VVV.
