[AROUND THE COUNTRY] Gimel Gordon's superb goal in the 80th minute gave Georgia State (8-2-1) a 1-0 win over William & Mary in a key CAA test that confirms the Panthers' place as a conference contender.

The win snapped GSU's five-game losing streak against the Tribe. The Panther defense, which has allowed only six goals in 11 games, had another tremendous game, limiting William & Mary to one shot on goal.

"A win like this is huge for the program and really big for the season too," GSU  coach Brett Surrency said.

-- Kyle Farris’ first career goal lifted Western Michigan to a 2-1 victory over 2010 Men's College Cup semifinalist Michigan for the Broncos’ first ever win in Ann Arbor.

-- Brady Wahl scored the game-winning goal in the 94th minute to give Ohio State (7-4-1) a 1-0 win over Bowling Green (7-3-1), snapping the Falcons' four-game unbeaten streak.
