[AMERICANS ABROAD] As expected, Jozy Altidore was not in the starting lineup for AZ in its Europa League game against Austria Vienna, but he came on late in the game when the Dutch league leader rallied from 2-0 down to earn a 2-2 tie. Sacha Kljestan (Anderlecht), Jonathan Spector (Birmingham City) and Jermaine Jones (Schalke 04) all started and won.

Europa League:
Jozy Altidore (sub: 18 minutes), AZ, 2-2 vs. Austria Vienna
Sacha Kljestan (90 minutes), Anderlecht, 2-0 at Lokomotiv Moscow
Jonathan Spector (90 minutes, 1 yellow card), Birmingham City, 2-1 at Club Brugge
Jermaine Jones (66 minutes), Schalke 04, 5-0 at AEK Larnaca
Steve Cherundolo (90 minutes), Hannover 96, 2-2 vs. FC Copenhagen
