England's 20 Premier League clubs paid almost $113 million to players' agents over a one-year period, with Manchester City spending 13 percent of the total, reports Stuart Condie.
The league said Manchester City paid $15.3 million to agents from Oct. 1, 2010, to Sept. 30, 2011, a period that covers two transfer windows. The average spent by EPL teams on agents' fees was $5.7 million.
Total spending by EPL clubs was up 7 percent on the $104.8 million for the previous 12 months. There were 765 player transfers, 23 more than for the previous 12 months.
Next behind Man City was Tottenham, spending $11.9 million on agents, followed by Liverpool ($11 million).
