[AMERICANS ABROAD] New York Red Bulls striker Juan Agudelo, who just finished a training stint with German club VfB Stuttgart, revealed on his Twitter account that he's headed for Liverpool.

Agudelo, 19, posted this on Wednesday: “Flight to England tomorrow. ill keep my followers n fans on a suspenseful cliff hanger, without naming the team i will be training with Yet."

Realizing the word he was bound for Liverpool had already become public, he later added: “Okkkkkk.... I guess a lot of people knew already lolol. #LFC it is."

At Liverpool he'll join U.S. youth international Marc Pelosi, 17, who several weeks ago agreed to enter the club's development academy.

"We're very pleased that Juan is staying fit and gaining tremendous experience training at the highest level at Stuttgart of the German Bundesliga and now Liverpool of the English Premiership," Red Bulls sporting director Erik Soler said in a statement. "For such a young player, these stints are invaluable and we are eager to continue to track his development heading into the upcoming MLS season."
