[REAL MADRID-BARCELONA] There can be no doubting Barcelona's superiority over Real Madrid. In their record seventh meeting of the year, Barca came back from a goal down after 21 seconds to beat the Merengues, 3-1, at the Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid and snap their 15-game winning streak.
Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes gifted Real Madrid a goal shortly after the kick when he cleared the ball right to Angel Di Maria. After a series of deflections, the ball ended up in front of the goal, where Karim Benzema beat Valdes.
After that it was all Barca, as it held a huge edge in possession -- 67-33 percent -- and scored on goals by Alexis Sanchez and Cesc Fabregas, both playing in their first La Liga clasico, and a volley from Xavi that went off Brazilian defender Marcelo and bounced in off the post.
The win moved Barca into a tie for first place with Real Madrid. It's now off to Japan for the Club World Cup.
