[VIDEO PICK] On Wednesday, American goalkeeper Tim Howard became the fourth goalkeeper to score a goal in the English Premier League when he struck for Everton in its 2-1 loss to Bolton. One of the previous keepers to score was American Brad Friedel.

Besides Howard and Friedel, Dane Peter Schmeichel (2001) and Englishman Paul Robinson (2007) scored as keepers. Howard scored with a boot from his own penalty area. Friedel's goal came in 2004 against Charlton when, while playing for Blackburn, he moved to into the other end late in the game for a corner kick.
