[AMERICANS ABROAD] After 14 seasons in MLS, Jeff Cunningham is headed abroad. Guatemalan club Comunicaciones introduced MLS's all-time leading scorer as its newest signing.

The Cremas are Guatemala's most popular club with 24 league titles and three Concacaf crowns. They finished second to Municipal in the Torneo Apertura. Comunicaciones has four points after two games in the Torneo Clausura.

The Jamaican-born Cunningham's two goals for the Columbus Crew in 2011 gave him 134 in his career.

Before returning to Columbus last season after playing at FC Dallas, Cunningham trained in Norway. He had a short loan spell at Germany's Bayer Leverkusen in 2001.
