[EVERTON-FULHAM] Landon Donovan was the winner in the battle of the
Americans, leading host Everton to a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Fulham in the fourth round of the FA Cup -- its first win ever over the Cottagers
in the competition in five meetings -- with assists on both goals.
Donovan set up a 27th-minute equalizer for Denis Stracqualursi and Marouane Fellaini’s 73rd-minute winner.
The game was
the first meeting between Donovan and U.S. teammate Clint Dempsey since they faced each other in MLS play in
2006.
A third Yank, Tim Howard, was in goal for Everton.
