[AMERICANS ABROAD] Clint Dempsey upped his 2012 scoring totals to seven goals in six games -- all in the last three games at Craven Cottage -- with the Fulham goal in the Cottagers' 1-1 tie with West Bromwich in the English Premier League on Wednesday. He now ranks seventh in the EPL this season with 10 goals.

Dempsey gave Fulham the lead midway through the second half but West Brom equalized on a goal by Somen Tchoyi with eight minutes remaining.

Other Americans in action on Wednesday were Zak Whitbread, who went the distance in Norwich City's 3-0 loss at Sunderland, and Jozy Altidore, who was a late sub in AZ's 2-1 win over GVVV in the Dutch Cup.

Once again an American proving that they can play. Are Dempsey and LanDo the only ones besides keepers and strong centerbacks? I think not. Let's makes sure the youth system is about development and not results and we will see allot more quality out of USA.
