[RECORD BOOK] Central Valley Christian of Visalia set a California girls high school record when wins over
Immanuel (6-0), Coalinga (7-0) and Dinuba (4-0) extended its league winning streak to 107 games.
The Cavaliers have outscored their
league opponents 618-21 in the East Sierra, East Sequoia and now Central Sequoia League.
The previous record was held by Bonita High
School of La Verne, which won 104 matches (1994-2003).
"This feels good. It is not everyday where you get to break a record like this,"
CVC coach Jacob De Groot told the Visalia Times Delta after the Immanuel win. "A lot of people that put in a lot of hard work
deserve this. I definitely don't take all the credit. It has everything to do with CVC as a community and the consistency of kids we get here."
CVC is 21-1-0 overall in 2011-12 and seeking its third straight Central Coast title.
